Dr. Jewel Datri is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in care of older adults, chronic disease management, and complex adult medicine. She is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients and providing thoughtful, personalized care that goes beyond the traditional rushed clinic visit.
Dr. Datri earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in Biochemistry with minors in Psychology and Anthropology. She went on to receive a dual degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in Doctorate of Medicine and Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. Then completed her internal medicine residency at Tulane University School of Medicine, where she graduated with Primary Care distinction.
Through Direct Primary Care, Dr. Datri offers a different approach—one centered on time, access, and continuity. She focuses on caring for adults with multiple or complex medical conditions, helping patients navigate their health with clarity and confidence. Her clinical interests include the management of diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and age-related health concerns.
With a Master of Public Health and experience working with diverse and underserved populations, Dr. Datri emphasizes preventive care while also providing comprehensive management of chronic illness. Her goal is to simplify healthcare, improve outcomes, and ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Based in San Antonio, she is committed to delivering high-quality, relationship-driven care to the local community. Outside of medicine, she values time with family (husband and three dogs) and enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, trivia, and board games. Her lifetime goal is to be on Jeopardy!

We offer same-day or next-day appointments for most needs. Members have direct access to their physician via phone, text, and secure messaging for time-sensitive concerns outside of office hours.
